MSPs, What Your Website is Missing to Turn Prospects into Clients

Having trouble closing a sale? You’re not alone. Many MSPs struggle to turn prospective buyers into long-term clients. Why? Sometimes because their information isn't displayed in a customer-friendly manner on their websites. IT can be daunting, especially to those who don’t have a background in it. Your prospects will be relatively new to a lot of solutions you may be selling, so creating a website that is easy to navigate and understand is an important starting point. Here are a few ways you may want to update your website to encourage prospects to give your service a try:

Write Clear, Concise, and Catchy Copy—Or Hire a Pro

The text on your website is what sells your service. Beautiful imagery isn't enough. If you don’t have copy that grabs people’s attention and lays out a simple explanation of what you do, you’ll leave prospects scratching their heads about your business. If they can't it figure out, they'll turn elsewhere. If you’re not able to communicate your services properly, be sure to hire a professional who has plenty of experience in your line of business. Ensure Your Contact Details are Readily Available

Ensure your contact information is very visible. You may notice websites that only offer contact info in their footers. Don’t make your site visitors scroll to the bottom of a webpage to learn how to reach you. Provide a link to contact information in your header and ideally have your phone number front and center in your header at all times.

Make Your CTAs Visible Above the Fold

A call-to-action (CTA) is a clickable button or a link on your website. It prompts a site visitor to take action, such as to ask for a demo, sign up for a trial, or download an eBook. Include a CTA on each page of your website, and place it high enough that visitors don’t have to scroll to see it (i.e., “above the fold”).  The CTA is what you’d like a prospect to do next, but you also need to ensure it is related to the page’s content and is a logical next step for the prospect. Buttons are your best friends because they stand out on your page. Be sure to include CTAs that are no more than a few words.

Offer Free Consultations and Demos as a CTA

Free consultations allow you to chat with your prospects in person or on the phone. It opens a conversation and is an opportunity for you to give them more details about why they should choose your business over others in the market. Plus, it gives you time to personalize a strategy for their unique needs. A tailored service is a service people see value in, and consultations can really help with that. Providing prospects with a live or recorded demo (via a signup page on your website) will help them get a clear picture of what it’s actually like to use your product. Show potential clients how to use the products and gives them a better idea if your business is right for them.
