Ya gotta love Costco on a Saturday morning. I know my 18-month old grandson, Peyton, does. Why? Because of all the free samples! All throughout the store friendly folks are handing out samples of everything from hot dogs to hand lotion. He loves it.
Try it, you’ll like it
Alka Seltzer used a campaign slogan in the 1960’s and 1970’s, “try it, you’ll like it,” to sell their remedy for upset stomachs. Costco employees say it as they hand out free samples of the products they sell. And why not? It’s a statement infused with confidence that you’re going to have a positive experience. So, I’m going to use it here, although I’m not selling you a product.
