DRAPER, Utah – June 25, 2013 – StorageCraft® Technology Corporation today announced that Nicole Petriello and Laura Shafer have been recognized by UBM Tech Channel’s CRN as two of the top Women of the Channel. CRN’s annual list recognizes nearly 300 female executives across vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers for their accomplishments over the past year, and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward.
This year’s Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. These women represent a changing trend in a traditionally male dominated industry.
Petriello, who serves as director of distribution and channel programs, and Shafer, the director of product marketing, have played instrumental roles in StorageCraft’s growth and in the development of the company’s reputation as a leading provider of best-in-class backup, disaster recovery, system migration and data protection solutions for servers, desktops and laptops. With their assistance during the past year, StorageCraft has successfully launched new products: StorageCraft Cloud Services in December and the award-winning StorageCraft ShadowProtect® Granular Recovery for Exchange 7 in April.
“We honor and congratulate this list of influential women who are dedicated to supporting the mission of the channel,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, UBM Tech Channel. “For years, we have identified and celebrated the women who have made an indelible mark on the technology industry through unmatched innovation and razor focus on meeting the needs of the IT channel community.”
Petriello, a 16-year veteran of the technology channel, is based in New Jersey and has been with StorageCraft for three years. Shafer, who is located in the company’s corporate headquarters in Draper, Utah, has been in the IT channel for 11 years, the last eight with StorageCraft.
“Without the efforts of these two women, StorageCraft would not be where it is today,” said Curt James, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at StorageCraft. “We are proud to have them as part of our team, and we know they will continue to excel.”
A special feature of the Women of the Channel is in the June issue of CRN magazine and expanded coverage of The 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel will be featured online at www.crn.com.
