The year 2016 has been busy and exciting for StorageCraft! The company had a complete rebrand, launched a new channel partner program, a partner portal and two new backup software products. On top of that, many many new features, hundreds of events and dozens of road shows. We added a plethora of awards to our arsenal, including a Best of VMWorld Gold Award for data protection! Here’s a round-up of all the new things we added this year below. We’ve also added a tell-tale infographic that details our events activities.

Storagecraft Wins Best of VMworld Gold Award

StorageCraft won numerous awards in 2016, for both exceptional people and products. Business Solutions Magazine voted StorageCraft Best Channel Vendor. CEO Matt Medeiros was named #1 Top Innovator in the CRN Top Executives 2016, and Mike Kunz was recognized among CRN’s 2016 Channel Chiefs. StorageCraft also won the “Best of VMworld Gold Award” in the data protection category in September.

We’re most proud of this award for the technology included with ShadowProtect SPX backup software. The feature allows near instant migration of  a StorageCraft backup image (VM or physical system) directly to ESXi. All with just a few clicks and minimal downtime. No conversion is necessary, or additional applicance – the technology promises to bring a faster, better, migration process for ESXi.

New Products and Partner Program

The company has ramped up product new features and product additions in the last year. In October, the company announced an aquisition of Gillware Online Backup, a file backup technology with backup analyzer for Windows, a powerful backup software for business setting. It has also expanded its global alliances, by introducing an OEM agreement with appliance vendor Exablox. Soon after, it introduced yet another new product, the StorageCraft Cloud Backup for Office 365, a full cloud backup solution for SaaS data protection.

On the channel program list were a number of innovations designed to make channel partners more profitable:

To add to the list, StorageCraft also had a number of promotions like the MSP Bundle (special pricing for managed service providers on Cloud Services and ShadowProtect backup software), and new prices to accommodate any customer’s needs, like the ShadowProtect SPX socket licensing and subscription-based licensing.

2016 Events Line-up

We could go on and on about the great things that happened in 2016. But we were most honored to talk directly to you, our partner, and to find out what the challenges you and your clients are facing. To try and give you a hand in making your business a little better. We did so during the hundreds of events and road shows we attended last year.

On top of the 274 events that StorageCraft exhibited at in 2016 alone, we also added 28 StorageCraft-hosted road shows around the Country. The Road shows were new for StorageCraft, but were a huge success. Our partners love meeting our staff and learning what was in store for the future of StorageCraft. We reached thousands of people to preach the need for business continuity and quick recovery after a disaster.
