It’s one thing to have a backup solution in place, it’s completely another to test that system regularly. Sitting in on an analyst discussion recently, I was intrigued by an analyst’s comment that “a best in class indicator of disaster recovery readiness is how often a backup solution is tested.” Information I’ve seen seems to indicate that not many organizations carve out time for this critical activity.
How do you find time to test your disaster recovery solution? If you are an MSP, do you bill clients for regular disaster recovery tests? StorageCraft builds in various testing tools, do you find them helpful? Why? Why not? Let me know what you think!
